Ultherapy

What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive procedure that lifts the neck, chin and brow, and improves lines and wrinkles on the upper chest. It relies on ultrasound therapy to go deeper than other non-invasive treatments for collagen stimulation and skin lifting. Results appear gradually over 2-3 months and no surgery is involved.

Did you know…

Most patients will only require 1 treatment. However, depending on the laxity of the skin, some patients might benefit from additional treatments 2 years after the initial treatment. Future touch ups can also be done to catch up with the body’s natural aging process.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Ultherapy work?

Collagen, a naturally occurring protein in the skin, works to retain skin’s youthfulness by keeping it firm and toned. As we age, collagen breaks down, and the result is a loss of skin strength and elasticity. That’s where Ultherapy can help–the ultrasound technology jumpstarts a natural regenerative process that produces fresh, new collagen to bring back that youthful glow.

What should I expect with Ultherapy ?

The best part about this procedure–there is no downtime! You can resume normal activities immediately. Your skin may appear to be flushed or tender at first, but that should disappear within a few hours.

Treatment time depends on how many areas are being treated. The lower face and “jowls” can take about 90 minutes to treat. Adding on the upper face (which includes the temples and around the upper/lower eyelids) will add another 30-45 minutes to the treatment. Adding on the lower neck and/or upper chest will similarly increase the treatment time.

While comfort level varies, the sensation only lasts the duration of treatment. These sensations can be managed with oral analgesics both in the office and with at home recommendations

When will I see results?

Typically, most results are evident 2-3 months after treatment but might take up to 6 months to see full results.
