How to Schedule a Teledermatology Visit with Borealis Dermatology

  1. Call Us to Book Your Appointment:
    Contact us at 516-246-8800 to schedule a teledermatology visit with one of our providers
  2. Send in necessary information:
    We will send you a text message right after your appointment has been made using our secure messaging portal Klara for you to send us pictures of the front and back of your insurance cards and ID. This way we can verify that we are in network with your insurance prior to your appointment.
  3. Complete Required Forms:
    ● New Patients: You will receive an email with forms to provide your demographic details, medical history, allergies, insurance information, and financial agreements.
    ● Existing Patients: Use the online check-in link sent via email to update your information

Preparing for Your Teledermatology Visit

  1. Check Your Device: Ensure your device (smartphone, tablet, or computer) camera and microphone are working camera
  2. Secure a Stable Internet Connection: Connect to strong Wi-Fi or reliable mobile data.
  3. Optimize Lighting & Background: Choose a well-lit space. Please close any blinds behind you for
    improved video.
  4. Prepare: Feel free to write down any concerns or questions you may have. It is always helpful to have
