Borealis Dermatology has opened a new office in Syosset.
The 3,600-square-foot office at 175 Jericho Turnpike is the firm’s second on Long Island, following its first office in Garden City that opened in late 2019.
Borealis Dermatology is founded and owned by Dr. Navin Arora, who has more than 15 years of professional experience at the clinical and leadership levels within the U.S. Department of Defense and private sector. Arora served for 12 years as a U.S. Army physician, according to a company statement.
“Following my career in the military, I set the goal of building a practice with multiple offices and a team of highly skilled professionals,” Arora said in the statement. “With the opening of this office, we have taken an important step forward. Our new office is conveniently located adjacent to Syosset Hospital and close to many other medical practices. My team and I are focused on providing comprehensive dermatological care and an exceptional experience for our patients.”
The new Syosset office is expected to increase its staff to 10 medical professionals by the middle of next year. It has 10 exam and treatment rooms and a medispa. The office offers a variety of medical, aesthetic and surgical dermatology services, including acne treatment, skin cancer facials, rash treatment, mole removals, hair and nail treatment, fillers and skin resurfacing, laser treatments and more.
After graduating medical school from New York Institute of Technology’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, Arora completed his residency in dermatology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is also a clinical assistant professor at the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
