Thank you for considering us for dermatology needs. Your results and satisfaction are our top priority. We will guide you through your appointment with the goal of making your visit as efficient and smooth as possible. Appointments will be confirmed as soon as possible and generally by the next business day.
Once you have an appointment booked, electronic intake forms will be sent over. Please complete the electronic intake forms. Nobody likes to fill out forms. But this consolidated information helps us to understand your unique medical history, anticipate issues and suggest tailored treatment options.
Please take a photo of any prescription or over-the-counter topicals (creams, shampoos, washes, etc…) currently or previously used. Or just bring them in.
At least one day prior to your appointment you will need:
If we do not have all these items in time, we may have to reschedule your appointment.
Please plan on arriving 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
If you cannot keep your appointment or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible.
After reviewing your medical history and discussing your concerns, your provider will examine you. You will be offered different treatment options, which may include procedures. Most procedures can be done at the time of your appointment, but more complex procedures will need to be scheduled to another date. Your provider will also discuss prescription medication options or order additional tests if necessary.
Pharmacies: You are welcome to use whichever pharmacy you desire, however, there may be cases when we need to use specialty pharmacies. The specialty pharmacies work directly with your insurance company to reduce the cost or gain coverage approval, and will deliver your prescriptions directly to your home.
Labs: We utilize NYU Langone Pathology Department for any biopsy specimens. You are free to use any outside major laboratories for blood and radiology tests. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for any costs charged from these labs.
Specialists: We may refer you to other specialists, such as a plastic surgeon or a rheumatologist, to better treat your conditions. We will provide you with their information, but it is your responsibility to verify your insurance network. If you are referred to any specialists, please have their office send visit notes or test results to our office.
Please pick up any prescribed medications and/or OTC medication/products and use them as directed. If you have any difficulty obtaining the medication or have questions, please contact us immediately.
If labs or radiology testing has been ordered, please have it completed ASAP. If you don’t hear from us after one week of having your test performed, call us. We will find out what’s going on.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If a follow-up appointment was recommended, please keep it. We really want to know how you are doing.
Our goal is to help diagnose and treat your dermatologic issues in an efficient, caring manner.
