Ultherapy

Ultherapy for selected early facial and neck laxity, with realistic expectations about gradual collagen remodeling and nonsurgical results.

← Cosmetics and Aesthetics

Early laxity around the jawline, neck, or brow can sometimes be improved without surgery, but expectations matter.

Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen beneath the skin, with results that develop gradually.

We evaluate whether your degree of laxity is likely to respond and whether another treatment—or doing nothing yet—would make more sense.

Recovery & Results

Daily activities: Usually the same day.
Visible recovery: Redness may fade within hours; tenderness can last about two weeks and altered sensation longer.
Results: Lifting develops over several months; early swelling is not the final result.

How It Works and What to Expect

What can Ultherapy do?

Ultherapy may produce gradual improvement in selected patients with mild to moderate skin laxity. It does not reproduce the degree of lifting achieved with surgery and is not the right treatment for every type of facial aging.

When do results appear?

Because the treatment relies on collagen remodeling, improvement develops gradually over several months. Results vary with age, skin quality, degree of laxity, treatment area, and individual biology.

What does treatment feel like?

Patients commonly feel brief pulses of heat, tingling, or discomfort as energy is delivered. Comfort varies substantially among individuals and by treatment area.

Downtime and side effects

Many patients resume normal activities quickly. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, tingling, or numbness can occur. Less common complications can include prolonged sensory changes, weakness, burns, or other tissue effects.

Is Ultherapy right for me?

A consultation can determine whether focused ultrasound, another energy-based treatment, injectables, resurfacing, or surgical referral best matches your anatomy and goals. Availability should also be confirmed when scheduling.

Your Questions, Answered

Why does my jawline look fuller?

Temporary swelling can change the contour immediately after treatment.

When should I judge results?

Improvement develops over months, rather than immediately.

Recovery varies with your skin, treatment area and settings. Follow your individual aftercare instructions.
