Let our team know the problem is urgent.<\/li>\n<li>Briefly describe what is going on: when it started, whether it is spreading or painful, and anything you have already tried.<\/li>\n<li>We will offer the soonest available visit at whichever of our three offices can see you first.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>What can be treated at an urgent visit<\/h2>\n<p>Many urgent skin problems can be diagnosed and treated in a single visit. Depending on the problem, that may include <a href=\"\/surgical-dermatology\/abscess-boil-drainage\/\">draining an abscess or boil<\/a>, treating a painful or inflamed <a href=\"\/surgical-dermatology\/cysts\/\">cyst<\/a>, starting prescription treatment for a rash, infection, shingles or hives, or performing a skin biopsy when a diagnosis needs confirmation.<\/p>\n<h2>Urgent skin problems in children<\/h2>\n<p>We also evaluate urgent rashes, infections and other skin problems in infants, children and teens.
